This guide explains how to customize notification emails using the built-in visual builder in Sublium.
The Visual Builder is a drag-and-drop interface that allows for easy, flexible, and fully responsive email design.
Follow the steps below to fully customize your email notifications and create a polished communication experience for both customers and admins.
Accessing Notifications for Customization
Navigate to the Notifications under Settings in Sublium.
You’ll see a list of all available WooCommerce subscription email notifications.
To edit a specific notification, click the Edit button next to the email you want to modify.

Subscription Email Customization Options
Configure the following fields:
- From Name: Name that appears as the sender.
- From Email: The email address the message is sent from.
- Reply-To Email: The address where recipients can respond.
- Subject: The subject line of the email.
- Preview Text: The snippet displayed in the inbox before opening the email.
- Template Type: Choose between Rich Text or Visual Builder for customization.

Email Template Type
Sublium offers two template types for email customization:
- Rich Text
- Basic text editing with limited customization options
- Basic text editing with limited customization options
- Visual Builder (Recommended)
- Allows for advanced customization with drag-and-drop content block features
- Provides full control over the design and layout of your subscription emails

Subscription Email Customization with the Visual Builder
After selecting the Visual Builder option, click on the Edit button to start customizing your WooCommerce subscription email notifications with the drag-and-drop editor.

The editor layout consists of:
Left panel: On the left panel, you will find the structure and blocks.
Structure:
- Drag and drop column structures to design your email layout.
- Each column can contain multiple content blocks for text, images, buttons, and more.

Content Blocks:
The visual builder offers content blocks below to customize your email
- Text: A block for adding customizable text content to your email.
- Image: Allows you to insert images, such as logos or product photos, into your email.
- Site Logo: Displays the site’s logo in the email header or body.
- List: Lets you create ordered or unordered lists in your email for better readability.
- Button: Adds a clickable button to your email, which can link to external pages or actions.
- Divider: Inserts a horizontal line to visually separate content sections in your email.
- Menu: Adds a navigation menu to the email, useful for linking to different pages or sections.
- Social: Enables you to add social media icons with links to your profiles.
- WooCommerce Product: Displays a specific product from your WooCommerce store in the email.
- WooCommerce Coupon: Inserts a coupon code block for discounts in the email.
- WooCommerce Customer Address: Shows the customer’s shipping or billing address from WooCommerce.
- WooCommerce Order Summary: Displays a summary of the customer’s order in the email, including product details.
- WooCommerce Customer Notes: Adds any notes provided by the customer related to their order.
- WooCommerce Order Downloads: Provides downloadable links for purchased products or digital content in the email.
- Subscription Information: Displays details about the customer’s subscription, including plan and renewal dates.
- Subscription Items: Lists the items included in the customer’s subscription.
Right Panel: Displays the live email content.

Additional Settings
- Layout Settings: This setting allows you to control the look and feel of the email by defining the following elements:
- Desktop Width: Set the email width in pixels.
- Content Alignment: Adjust the alignment of email content (left, center, right).
- Background Color: Customize the background color of the email.
- Body Background Color: Set the background color for the email body.
- Desktop Width: Set the email width in pixels.
- Global Settings
In this option, you can define the following global settings for your email:
- Brand Logo: Add your brand’s logo.
- Brand Colors: Choose your brand’s primary and secondary colors.
- Typography: Set font styles, sizes, and weights for your email.
- Link Colors: Define the colors for links.
- Button and Footer Styles: Customize buttons and footers.
- Social Media Icons: Add social media icons with links to your profiles.
- Brand Logo: Add your brand’s logo.

Finalizing Your Subscription Emails
Audit Email
Use the Audit Email feature to check for any missing or broken URLs. Click on Audit Email and hit Start.

Review the findings and make necessary corrections. Then you can audit again.

Preview
Use the Preview option to see how the email will appear when sent in real-time. To check the preview, hit the option Preview and Test email at the top.

Send Test Email
To ensure everything looks perfect, send a Test Email to yourself. You can send test emails to many addresses at once. Simply add the emails and hit “Send Email”.

This allows you to see exactly how the email will appear when received in an inbox.
